Who We Are

Pineapple Road is a woman-owned small business based on the North Shore of Oahu. It started, like many fermentation experiments, in a household kitchen during the lockdown of 2020. Our founder, Caleigh, was determined to recreate Mexican tepache, the most interesting drink she’d ever tasted. Obsession took over, and hundreds of recipe trials later, our original tepache recipe was born. 

The goal was to craft a tepache inspired by classic Mexican recipes, but imbued with the flavors and feel of our Hawaiian home. Fresh tropical produce and a crisp mouthfeel to refresh you on sandy, sun-soaked days.

What began as a mad-hat experiment, over time has grown into a true community endeavor. Friends have stepped in to taste test, help source ingredients, design branding, troubleshoot fermentation challenges, and enjoy the fruits of our collective labor. We are proud of what we’ve created together,
